About Twisted Running
Twisted Running is an independent running brand based in Altrincham, creating technical kit for everyday runners and building a community where pace and experience don’t matter. We host regular social runs, show up at events, and ship orders all over the UK from Twisted HQ.
We’re looking for a part-time Ecommerce & Fulfilment Assistant to make sure orders are shipped on time, stock levels are under control, and the backend of our online store runs smoothly as we grow.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on ecommerce operations, order fulfilment, and stock management. You’ll be the person making sure:
- All online orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time.
- Stock is in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities.
- Basic ecommerce admin is kept up to date (order statuses, tracking, simple customer updates).
Full training will be given on our systems (e.g. Shopify, shipping platforms) and our way of working – we just need someone organised, reliable, and happy to take ownership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Order Processing & Fulfilment
- Monitor incoming online orders and make sure they’re processed each working day.
- Pick and pack orders accurately, following our packing standards.
- Create and print shipping labels using our courier platforms.
- Update order statuses and tracking information in our ecommerce system.
- Flag any issues with orders (stock errors, address problems, etc.) quickly.
Stock Management & Replenishment
- Help keep shelves and storage areas organised and easy to pick from.
- Carry out simple stock checks and regular cycle counts on core products.
- Flag low stock and popular sizes/designs so we can reorder in time.
- Receive deliveries, check them against purchase orders, and put stock away correctly.
Ecommerce Admin & Customer Experience
- Support with basic customer updates about orders (e.g. “where is my order” type queries), when required.
- Help keep product and order notes up to date so nothing gets missed in fulfilment.
- Spot patterns in returns or issues and feed them back so we can improve.
About You
Essential
- Strong attention to detail – wrong size/colour in a parcel would bug you.
- Organised and reliable – you like a list and enjoy ticking things off.
- Comfortable with hands-on work (packing, lifting boxes, moving stock).
- Basic computer confidence – happy navigating online systems and printing labels.
- Good communicator – can flag issues clearly and ask questions when needed.
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
- Previous experience in ecommerce, warehousing, retail stock rooms, or fulfilment.
- Interest in running, sport, or small independent brands.
Hours, Pay & Progression
Hours: 16 hours per week (e.g. 4 hours/day, 4 days/week – to be agreed).
Contract: Initial 3–6 month fixed-term contract, with the expectation to make the role permanent if it’s a good fit for both of us.
Pay: Between £12.50 and £14.00 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.
